The T7P friction uses paper rolls doubled with yellow customer carbon copies which make it easier for customers to retain their own personal record of the transaction. When there is tip involved, the customer usually writes down the tip amount on the merchant receipt and again on the customer copy for their personal use. But with the friction printer and the carbon copy paper rolls, the tip is accurately recorded on both the merchant copy as well as the customer copy. The friction printer for the T7P requires a special type of paper roll used to provide yellow copies to customers without requiring the merchant to print out a duplicate receipt.
